Hosted telephony users lease a small slice of the Providers virtual system, which means that they don’t have to invest in capital equipment. The world brand leader in high-spec IT solutions, we offer a variety of different Cisco handsets for differing solutions.
POLYCOM
We use Polycom handsets in our office, and actually find they are better sound quality than the Cisco handsets. Functionality is very similar on both, but the Polycoms do offer enhanced acoustics.

The Essentials & The Techie Stuff
It is essential that you have a dedicated internet connection for your Hosted Telephony solution. To share Hosted phones with general internet browsing spells trouble. If you have a managed Leased Line and can ‘hive off’ 2Mb for ‘voice’ then this will support up to 30 users. However, most offices in theUKjust use ADSL broadband, and there you must be careful. Generally a hosted voice call will use about 100k per call and therefore if you have a 0.5Mb upload speed on your broadband, you will be OK for up to about 5 simultaneous calls.
